Tyne Gangway are pleased to have donated one of our approved 10m Shala gangways and net to provide safe access during the restoration of this historic vessel. We are proud to support the Friends of TS Queen Mary, maintaining heritage and links between our two great shipbuilding rivers, The Clyde and The Tyne.
Tyne Gangway’s sister company has completed the offshore installation of a Tower and Walk to Work Gangway to allow work to begin on part of Race Bank Project. Engineers from Lift-rite joined a Jack-up accommodation / service rig in Denmark and sailed to the East Coast of England to mobilise the equipment.
The walk-to-work gangway was designed and built by Tyne Gangway is class approved to the new DNVGL- ST0358 standard.
As well as personnel the Tower and Gangway will be used to move equipment/ materials onto the new substation to help complete the offshore works.
