Tyne Gangway are pleased to have donated one of our approved 10m Shala gangways and net to provide safe access during the restoration of this historic vessel. We are proud to support the Friends of TS Queen Mary, maintaining heritage and links between our two great shipbuilding rivers, The Clyde and The Tyne.
Tyne Gangway’s sister company has completed the offshore installation of a Tower and Walk to Work Gangway to allow work to begin on part of Race Bank Project. Engineers from Lift-rite joined a Jack-up accommodation / service rig in Denmark and sailed to the East Coast of England to mobilise the equipment.
The walk-to-work gangway was designed and built by Tyne Gangway is class approved to the new DNVGL- ST0358 standard.
As well as personnel the Tower and Gangway will be used to move equipment/ materials onto the new substation to help complete the offshore works.
Tyne Gangway wins order to Design & Build 3 off Hydraulic Deployed Self- Levelling Stepped Gangways.
The gangways will be delivered later this year.
Tyne Gangway completes F.A.T. for RACE BANK personnel transfer system. Tyne Gangway has built a 25metre Walk to work system in record time. The Gangway and Tower sections were built in a little over 4 weeks.
The full Design & Build process took 9 weeks in total.
The system will be installed onto an accommodation Jack-up vessel and used to aid installation of various equipment on the RACE BANK offshore Wind Turbine Project.
The Walk-to-Work system was designed to DNVGL-ST-0358 and is class approved.
Tyne Gangway have recently signed a contract to Design and Build 12 off Telescopic Accommodation Ladder Systems. The low temperature access systems will be installed onto Six Arctic Patrol Vessels (AOPS).
The equipment will be Lloyds Class Approved to ISO 5488, ISO 7364 and the accommodation ladders will also be supplied with ATEX certification.
The first systems will be delivered in 2017.
Tyne Gangway is a world leader in the manufacture of low temperature boarding equipment.
Tyne gangway wins order for offshore walk to work system & tower from Singapore Offshore Support Company.
The 25m gangway and 9m high tower will be used to access substations as part of an offshore wind project.
This order follows on from completion of 3 Telescopic walk to work systems which were designed and built by Tyne gangway for Helix ITF Project.
Tyne Gangway will be exhibiting at the years Sea-Air-Space Exposition from the 16th to 18th May 2016.
The exposition takes place at the Gaylord National Convention Centre, Washington DC and is the largest Defence expo in US.
Tyne Gangway is looking forward to meeting their existing and new US based customers.

Tyne Gangway wins order to Design and Build its first 30mtr Double Flight Self Levelling Stepped Gangway. The gangway will be used in one of the UKs biggest Cruise Ports. TGs unique articulated step design ensures enhanced safety for passengers embarking and disembarking some of the worlds biggest cruise ships. The gangway will be installed just in time for the start of this summers cruise season.
Tyne Gangway are proud to announce that we will be attending and exhibiting at this years DPRTE (Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability Exhibition) at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on the 16th March 2016.
